Maine Teacher
of the Year
Celebrating the educators who inspire Maine’s next generation.
In collaboration with the Maine Department of Education, the Maine Teacher of the Year program celebrates the educators who bridge equity gaps and inspire Maine’s learners to achieve their fullest potential. By elevating the voices of outstanding teachers, the program advocates for the teaching profession and highlights the transformative role educators play in shaping Maine’s future. State and county honorees also receive a rich, year-long professional development experience, with opportunities to attend conferences and earn continuing education credits, supporting their own commitment to lifelong learning.
This program honors those who build the foundation for lifelong learning and career readiness, and reflects Educate Maine’s belief that strong educators are essential to a strong Maine.
