The Maine Mobile BIOLAB is part of Educate Maine’s broader strategy to connect students and educators with career pathways in the life sciences and build a larger, career-ready workforce in Maine. The mobile laboratory brings scientific tools and techniques directly to the school parking lot, giving students access to hands-on experiences that go far beyond what many schools can provide on their own.

Educate Maine believes every Maine person deserves access to a high-quality education that provides the knowledge, skills, and dispositions needed for career and economic success. We are committed to addressing inequities across our state, and the BIOLAB is one way we work to increase access, reduce barriers, and create meaningful learning experiences for middle school students throughout Maine.

Our Mission

A state-of-the-art mobile science lab that meets students where they live and learn, engaging them in the life sciences with an emphasis on rural and under-resourced communities.
